Make the space entirely yours. Our full studio buyout gives you exclusive access to Schwa Studio in Surry Hills, providing a private and creative setting for celebrations, dinners, workshops, brand events, launches, parties and intimate gatherings. With the entire studio to yourself, you have the freedom to arrange the space, bring your own furniture and personalise the setup to suit your event. Surrounded by our design work and creative environment, it’s a little different from hiring a traditional function venue. Whether you’re planning a private celebration, creative gathering or special brand event, our studio offers a relaxed and unique space in the heart of Surry Hills. Need extra furniture for your event? You’re welcome to bring your own or hire selected furniture from us. If you have a particular setup or event in mind, email us and we can discuss what’s possible.
Policy
Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received. The space is only available for the date and time booked, and any additional time used may incur an additional fee. Your booking time includes both setup and pack down, so please make sure you allow enough time to return the studio to its original condition before your booking ends. Please treat the studio, furniture, equipment, products and artwork with care, and do not move, modify or use any studio equipment without permission. The space may only be used for the activity agreed upon at the time of booking. You are welcome to bring your own furniture and equipment, provided they are suitable for the space and do not cause any damage. Selected furniture and equipment may also be available to hire from Schwa Studio, so please contact us in advance if you require additional furniture or have specific setup requirements. Please leave the studio clean and tidy after your booking. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the studio, furniture, equipment or other property during the booking, and additional cleaning or repair costs may apply where necessary. Please keep your event within the agreed guest capacity. The hirer is responsible for the behaviour and safety of all guests, suppliers and contractors attending the event. Please be considerate of our neighbours and keep noise at a reasonable level, particularly during evening bookings. If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable. Any activity involving open flames, heat, hazardous materials, heavy equipment or significant changes to the space must be approved by Schwa Studio before the booking. Schwa Studio reserves the right to stop an activity or end a booking if it is considered unsafe or inappropriate. Schwa Studio is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings brought into the studio. If you are unsure whether your event, furniture or setup will work in the space, please email us before booking. We are happy to discuss your requirements and help you plan your event.
